Q: How is the jurying process structured?

A: Each participating artist submits several artworks to Projekt30. The actual number of artworks varies between one and fifteen. Each artist's artworks are grouped together with the artist's name listed in the upper left hand corner. You can move between an individual artist's works using the "next image" and "previous image" buttons on the left hand side of the screen. You may move from artist to artist by using the "next artist" and "previous artist" buttons. To submit a rating for an artist's body of work, select a number at the bottom and click "submit rating". 1 is the lowest rating and 5 is the highest. You may also send a message to an artist using the "contact this artist" button at the bottom of the page.

At the end of the jurying period all ratings are averaged together and handed over to our in-house jurors who assemble the show.

Q: Do I submit ratings based on the artwork I am currently viewing or based on all artworks in the artist's body of work?

A: Your rating applies to the entire body of work of the artist you are viewing. You submit one rating per artist regardless of the number of artworks presented.

Q: Can I skip over artists and come back to them later?

A: Yes, there is no need to proceed in order. Feel free to browse the show before you begin submitting ratings.

Q: What happens if I accidentally rate the same artist twice or if I want to change my rating of a particular artist?

A: If you rate the same artist twice we take the most recent rating. We do not take multiple ratings of the same artist from a juror. Your new rating replaces your old rating.

Q: There are so many artists to submit ratings for; can I stop half way through?

A: Yes, you can stop at any time. If you do not rate an artist it counts neither for nor against them. Each juror sees the artists in a different order so all artists receive an equal number of votes. We have taken into account that some jurors will not have time to submit votes for all artists presented.

Please Note: You must submit ratings for at least 20 artists in order for your ratings to be recorded.

Q: I don't feel comfortable submitting ratings for certain artists; can I skip over them?

A: Yes, you may skip around if you like. If you do not rate an artist it will not count for or against them. You must submit ratings for at least 20 artists in order for your ratings to be recorded.

Q: May I leave and come back later?

A: Yes, however the artists may not be presented in the same order when you return. If you accidently rate an artist twice, you most recent rating will replace your previous rating. You must submit ratings for at least 20 artists in any one session for your ratings to be recorded.

Q: I found an artist I would like to contact; how do I do so?

A: Use the "contact this artist" button at the bottom of the page. You may then enter your message into the text field on the page. Remember to include your email address or the artist will not be able to respond.

Q: I'm an artist, how do I take part in a juried exhibition?

A: Click the apply to projekt30 button at the bottom of the page and follow the directions there. Your work will be online for jury in about a month to a month in a half, depending on the time at which you apply. Take a look at the prospectus for more details on the show or shows we are currently taking submissions for.
