My latest series explores what happens to light when reflected in water. I am intrigued by the intricate patterns on the water surface and how they can convey both movement and stillness. Because of this dichotomy, getting lost in these patterns can be alternately meditative or energizing. Iíve chosen to play with the boundary between realism and abstraction to higlight that these reflections seem to create an alternate reality to what we see on land or in the sky. I want the viewer to be able to interact with my work on different levels -- to appreciate the beauty of the abstract composition nature provides while experiencing the almost musical rythymn of the water.
