These pictures question the use of space, landscape and the veracity of a photograph. Though the first experience one might have when looking at these pictures is one of a singular notion, it is soon realized that the images are actually made up of many separate, and often different, photographs. The use of many pictures of a single place is my basis for attempting to question the notion of visual belief. When we see something that is not quite right, immediately our minds try to make the image into something that is much more comfortable to look at. The items dispersed amongst the landscape have a similar effect on me. It is a bit of a discomfort so I make pictures of these places that are more compelling then they actually are. Again, calling attention to what exactly is the truth behind a photograph.
