statement
My sculptures contemplate the bioethical compulsion to connect with comforting images that are synthetically packaged. My work embodies themes of physical and
ethereal prowess in society's approach to ponder the definitive cultural phenomena of habitual self-improvement. Our tenacious desire to simplify our
lives distances us further from the organic and creates landfills that will surpass our own immortality. My humanistic synthetic forms explore both the positive and negative imminent cultural ramifications. Unsettling the viewer with a familiar mirrored image of humanity, but further distorting the
perception at second glance by revealing something is off. The work demands the viewer to look deeper. By revealing the synthetic, we realize how synthetic we
have become and are forced to face a future where the synthetic and organic will not be easily rationalized or defined.
