A Glass Darkly

For now we see through a glass, darkly, but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

1 Corinthians 13:12 King James Version

This quote is often regarded as one of the most artistically enticing scriptural phrases. It refers to humanity's imperfect, distorted understanding of God when we are alive, an understanding that will only become clear upon an individual's death. More recently the first half: "For now we see through a glass, darkly" has popularly been interpreted out of its Biblical context; to describe a person's tenuous, subjective grasp of the world around them.

As artists, we strive to explore our vision -our 'dark glass'- in so that our artworks may reverberate with both originality and truth. This June, Projekt30 will host an exhibition of artworks exploring the theme of personal perspective. We are seeking artworks which style, verisimilitude, and content uniquely reflects the artist that created them.

The exhibition will publicly juried, and will consist of 30 artists. The exhibition will publicly juried, and will consist of 30 artists.
